Early in October 2023, an AI generated image was posted on Facebook, and later on Reddit, which sparked one of the greatest memes, urban legends and lore about the great Gumbo Slice who befriends alligators, shares his pepperoni pizza, but draws a hard boundary with them. He is not afraid to jump kick an alligator, punch a shark, or battle an army of giant killer shrimp, if they take what is his without Gumbo’s permission.

Gumbo’s buddy, Pizzagator, has a love for pizzas. They are old friends from childhood, and some say since the dawn of humankind. Their friendship reflects the ancient and proverbial friendship between humans and alligators.

This site is dedicated to preserving and continuing the lore of the Gumbo and Pizzagator community. We will highlight some of the most hilarious memes.
